PRESENTATION:
The theme is Doll and
Action Figure
Femme as a Doll / Stud
as an Action Figure.
This is the first
category and your first impression to the audience and judges.
You may choose
selections from any doll and/or movie.
We are looking for
creativity!
You have 3 minutes to
present yourself to the judges; this is not a performing category.
Props, music, and
backup people are allowed, but there is NO setup time for Presentation
category. Points will be deducted for going over the allotted time.
AFRICAN
WEAR :
No shoes are allowed
You may choose any
type of African wear
We are looking for
creativity
You have 3 minutes to
present yourself to the judges; this is not a performing category.
Music will be provided
by Studs Magazine Nubian Pageant
Props and backup
people are allowed, but there is NO setup time for African Wear category. Points
will be deducted for going over the allotted time.
FORMAL / EVENING GOWN :
You will be judged on
hair, makeup, modeling and overall poise and grace.
Your gown / tuxedo may
be of any colors or style but the gown must be floor length.
Tattoos and piercings ARE allowed; however
please keep in mind that it is up to the judges’ discretion on whether it
detracts from your overall look and style.
You have 3 minutes to
present yourself to the judges; this is not a performing category. Points will
be deducted for going over the allotted time.
Music will be provided
by Studs Magazine Nubian Pageant
TALENT (no fire, water, confetti, etc):
This category is open
to anything you'd like to perform.
You are limited to 7
minutes but you do not have to use the whole time.
You will also be given
2 minutes to set-up props and 2 minutes to break down props. If you use no
props you use no additional time.
No water, fire,
glitter, confetti or live animal acts will be allowed.
Music must be on CD
and the CD must be scratch free. The DJ will not mix music.
If you have any
questionable materials please ask ahead of time if it will be allowed.
A score of zero (0) will be given for
any talent longer than the time allotted.
